With a 13-4 start, my Lakers are #2 in the West. (Behind the SA Spurs 14-2).

Kobe scored 41 points last night but we lost to the Pacers 95-92. The Pacers are one of those teams you can’t hang around because they will steal a win from you….

Los Angeles shot only 39 percent from the floor while allowing Indiana to shoot at 43 percent. While the offense struggled, it’s the defense that Bryant was more worried about after the game.

“We’re going to score points, but we’ve got to show up the defense,” Bryant said to the media. “We’ve got to execute better. We missed too many assignments, and we didn’t play with the right energy…we can’t put all the pressure on the shooters to make shots all the time, because then they start thinking about their shot instead of just relaxing and shooting it.”

The game was Kobe’s first 40 point effort of the season and it’s nothing new to the former MVP and league champion, who is third on the list for most 40 point games in a career.

Not bad at all for the Black Mamba. Although I’m sure he’s none too happy about dropping a game the Lakers could have won (AT HOME»>). Kobe missed the game-tying three in the closing seconds.

Look for Los Angeles to get back on track in the next couple of games

(Sorry Grizzlies)
